This shop was placed in the innermost part of a big department in Niigata City like a mass blocking a passage inside it. I imagined creating a silent space in the innermost part of a noisy department store. It just like creating a white empty space as in a large storehouse. Basically, I left the high ceilings of the given space untouched and composed in it several standing pieces of white walls. In this shop, wall material is selected to be white and immaterial rather than focus on the tensions between the materials such as the aluminum and steel plates. I thought it to be a better way to create a more casual atmosphere for the space.
